Created by Regional Legislative Decree nº. 1/2004/M, of January 13, as amended by Regional Legislative Decrees nº. 36/2008/M, of August 14 and nº. 9/2016/M, of 3 March, VIAEXPRESSO is a public service concessionaire responsible for the management, operation and conservation of regional expressways, under the SCUT regime, for a period of 25 years since December 2004.
